Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) in Neuro Science to join a 20-bed unit offering 12-hour night shifts and self-scheduling. A $20,000 commitment-incentive bonus is available for this role.

Ideal candidates have RN licensure, BLS within 30 days, and 2–4 years of Neuro/Ortho RN experience; ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS within six months are also preferred. This position emphasizes leadership, patient assessments, and interdisciplinary care planning.

Qualifications

• Charge RN experience and neuro/ortho RN background are preferred.
• RN license must be current in the state.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire; ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within six months.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
