Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Hickory, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Charge Neuroscience unit. The ideal candidate will have a current RN license, preferably with Neuro/Ortho experience. This full-time position includes a $20,000 sign-on bonus, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and financial support. Qualifications

• Applicants should have a current state RN license.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certification required within six months of hire.
• 1–2 years of previous experience preferred.
• Neuro/Ortho experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Document medical necessity in the medical record.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely QI assessments.

Neuro/Ortho experience preferred
20‑bed unit
Patient population: spine/neck/head surgery, stroke and seizure

How You Will Contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
