Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center, located in North Carolina, seeks a Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro/Ortho unit on a 3x12 hour night schedule. The 20-bed unit offers self-scheduling and an interdisciplinary team approach to care.

Applicants should hold an active NC RN license; a BSN is preferred. BLS is required within 30 days, ACLS/PALS/NIHSS within six months, and 2–4 years Neuro/Ortho RN experience with Charge Nurse preferred. Comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina RN license required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS, NIHSS within six months of hire.
• 2–4 years Neuro/Ortho RN experience required, Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care.
• Document medical necessity in the chart.
• Revise and complete Interdisciplinary Care Plan per patient.
• Conduct timely QI assessments.
