Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing.
• 1 year of acute care nursing.
• 1 year of progressive leadership management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for the nursing team on assigned shift.
• Coordinates care in collaboration with the treatment team to provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation services.
• Direct patient care including medications, wound care, injections, and IV infusions while using standard critical care equipment.
• Documents patient assessments, care rendered, and changes in patient condition.
• Monitors supplies and equipment to ensure quality of care and operational standards.
• Coaches and evaluates staff performance and assists with payroll/timekeeping as needed.
• Acts as liaison between physicians and administrators and communicates protocol changes to staff.
• Escalates personnel, medical staff, patients, families, and public concerns to management.
• Ensures compliance with healthcare standards and accreditation requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
