Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to supervise and coordinate nursing activities under the direct supervision of the Supervisor. This role provides patient care across all age groups and uses the Nursing Process to guide clinical decisions.

Responsibilities include evaluating staff, assisting with orientation, maintaining schedules, and ensuring adherence to Florida Nurse Practice Act guidelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
• BLS from the American Heart Association is required for all areas.
• ACLS required at hire for Code Blue Team and within 6 months for other ICU/OB units.
• PALS required within 6 months for Code Blue team.
• NRP and STABLE certifications or renewals required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and controls the nursing activities of assigned staff.
• Assists Supervisor in evaluation of staff and completion of projects.
• Provides patient care using the Nursing Process for a defined group of patients across all ages.
• Maintains nursing schedules and orientation of new employees.
