Mercy is seeking a Charge Nurse RN in Fort Smith, AR to lead and support a multidisciplinary team while delivering exceptional patient care. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified full-time RNs with at least 1 year of experience. NO CONTRACT REQUIRED.

Responsibilities include assessing changes in patient conditions, developing plans of care, coordinating with physicians, administering treatments, and mentoring staff. Licensure and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.

• Lead daily operations by coordinating staffing, assignments, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Qualifications

Required:

Preferred:

• Charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and twist as needed for patient care.
