Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Charge Nurse RN to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver high-quality patient care. The role combines clinical leadership with direct nursing practice, providing mentorship and resources to staff while coordinating daily operations on the unit.

Eligible applicants include RNs with at least 1 year of experience, holding an RN license in the practicing state. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available, and no contract is required, enhancing stability for committed nurses.

Qualifications

• RN leadership experience is preferred but not required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association) or obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Current RN license in state of practice or compact licensure.

Position Details:

Charge Nurse RN

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available!

What You'll Do

Qualifications

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

Preferred:

• Charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and twist as needed for patient care.
