Zusammenfassung

Mercy is seeking a Charge Nurse RN to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver exceptional patient care. You will assess patient conditions, develop care plans, collaborate with physicians, and mentor nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates and a full-time, no-contract arrangement. A year of RN experience and BLS certification are preferred, with opportunities to grow within Mercy’s care-focused environment.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days).
• Charge nurse or leadership experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM or other unit certifications preferred.

Position Details:

Charge Nurse RN $10,000 Sign-On Bonus Available! Full-time RNs with at least 1 year of experience eligible NO CONTRACT REQUIRED

What You'll Do

• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Administer treatments, medications, and nursing interventions.
• Provide patient and family education to support positive outcomes.
• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Lead daily operations by coordinating staffing, assignments, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Qualifications Required:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of practice or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

Preferred:

• Charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Specialty certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and twist as needed for patient care.

Transforming the Health of Our Communities

Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. In 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1856, they traveled to St. Louis. In the years to come, they would establish hospitals throughout the Midwest. Many of these would join together in 1986 as Mercy.
