Job summary

Carson Tahoe Health is seeking a Charge Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery on the night shift. The role involves direct and indirect patient care, staff supervision, and unit leadership to promote high-quality, cost-effective care.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with Nevada licensure and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP or instructor, STABLE, and C-EFM within three years). Three years of acute care nursing experience is required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered RN license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS for healthcare providers.
• NRP certification or instructor certification.
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Program Certification.
• CEFM within three years of hire and renewed every three years.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing in an acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates expert clinical knowledge and serves as a resource for staff.
• Provides direct patient care in a manner respectful of cultural and developmental needs.
• Leads unit staff development activities, orientations and staff meetings.
• Supports Evidence Based Practice to guide nursing care and plans of care.
• Manages staffing and scheduling as Charge Nurse.
• Educates and precepts new staff.
• Provides computer documentation accuracy in patient records.
• Participates in unit operations and collaborative care planning.
