Job summary

Carson Tahoe Health in Carson City, NV is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool Night Shift (Part Time). The RN will provide safe, patient-centered care under supervision, applying the nursing process across multiple departments including Medical/Oncology, Surgical/Orthopedics, Telemetry and CDU.

Required qualifications include an active NV RN license, BLS, ACLS within six months, NIHSS within 180 days, and a BSN preferred with at least one year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current NV RN license or interim permit.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS certification within 180 days of hire.
• BSN degree preferred; actively pursuing within hiring timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered nursing care.
• Float to Medical/Oncology, Surgical/Orthopedics, Telemetry, CDU, and emergency departments as needed.
• Adhere to unit standards, policies, and procedures.
• Attend required staff meetings and complete annual education requirements.
