Job summary

Carson Valley Health is seeking a Charge Nurse to direct patient care on the Med-Surg/ICU units during evening, night or weekend shifts. You will coordinate staffing, patient assignments, bed control and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

The role requires RN license in NV, BLS and ACLS, BSN preferred, and at least 5 years nursing experience with supervisory background; ICU/ER experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in Nevada (NV) required.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates high level of nursing skill and leadership ability.
• Create a workplace with two-way communication to share ideas in a non-punitive environment.
• Provide effective communication between administration, management and staff.
• Performs patient rounding as instructed by Nurse Manager.
