Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a night shift, full-time Medical Surgical Charge RN to join our team.

The role centers on planning and delivering direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plans with patients and families, and coordinating with physicians and the nursing team.

Ideal candidates will be RN licensed in New Jersey with BLS, and have prior acute care or leadership experience; a NLN/AACN accredited program is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• RN license issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing


• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing.


• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.


• Prior charge/previous leadership experience


• Prior acute care experience in a hospital setting
