Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Night Shift, Full-Time Medical Surgical Charge Registered Nurse to join our inpatient team. This role focuses on planning and delivering direct and indirect patient care, coordinating with the care team to maintain safe, high‑quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate is an RN licensed in New Jersey with BLS, and has leadership or charge experience; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care.
• Develop nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and team.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing
• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Prior charge/previous leadership experience
• Prior acute care experience in a hospital setting
