Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Medical Surgical Charge Registered Nurse to join our team.

This role plans and delivers direct and indirect patient care, develops nursing care plans with patients and families, and communicates changes in patient condition with physicians and staff. A NLN/AACN-accredited program, NJ RN license, and BLS within 14 days are required; BSN and prior charge experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient care and unit operations.
