Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Medical Surgical Charge Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg team. You will lead nursing care for a diverse patient population, coordinate daily workflows, and collaborate with physicians, supervisors, and staff to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure in New Jersey, leadership experience, and a commitment to patient-centered care within a fast-paced acute care

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
