Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ, is seeking a night shift, full-time Medical Surgical Charge Registered Nurse. The role focuses on planning and delivering direct and indirect patient care and coordinating with the care team to update physicians on patient conditions.

The position requires a NLN/AACN accredited nursing program graduate and an active NJ RN license with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care; develop nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff; communicate changes in patient condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and coworkers as appropriate.

Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing

Preferred Job Requirements
