Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Connecticut.
• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience in SNF/LTC/sub-acute environments.
• Prior supervisory/charge nurse experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Hands-on EMR proficiency with systems like PointClickCare for documentation.
• Ability to prioritize and lead weekend shifts and coordinate care.

• Conduct unit rounds to monitor resident conditions, meds, infection control, and staff workflows.

RN Supervisor – Weekends

Job Type: Permanent | Direct Hire | On-Site

Schedule: Weekend Shift Operations (Flexible Scheduling & Baylor Option Available)

• Shift Openings: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Baylor Program Schedule: Work weekend doubles (16 hrs Saturday + 16 hrs Sunday = 32 hours worked) and receive 6 extra paid bonus hours (paid for 38 hours total) with full-time benefits eligibility. Requires working every weekend.

An established, mission-driven healthcare and senior living provider in Connecticut is seeking clinically sound, dependable Weekend RN Supervisors to lead weekend operations.

Reporting to nursing administration, the Weekend RN Supervisor provides on-site clinical leadership, triage oversight, and administrative support to charge nurses, floor nurses, and certified nursing assistants (CNAs). This role ensures seamless continuity of care, regulatory compliance, and resident safety across weekend shifts while maintaining a supportive environment for unit staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weekend Clinical Leadership: Supervise, support, and direct weekend nursing operations, ensuring person-centered care aligns with individualized care plans and physician orders
• Unit Operations & Rounds: Conduct routine rounds across clinical units to monitor resident conditions, medication administration, infection control standards, and nursing staff workflows
• Triage & Emergency Response: Provide rapid clinical decision-making during resident status changes, acute clinical events, or facility operational issues
• Admissions & Transfers: Assist floor staff with weekend admissions, transfers, room assignments, and hospital discharge orders
• Staff Guidance & Support: Serve as a clinical resource, coach, and mentor to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, fostering teamwork and maintaining strong shift accountability
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation in compliance with Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) and CMS regulations

Qualifications:

• Licensure: Current, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut
• Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of clinical nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care (LTC), or sub-acute rehabilitation environment
• Leadership Skills: Prior supervisory, unit manager, desk nurse, or charge nurse experience in a long-term care setting strongly preferred
• Clinical Prioritization: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage shift priorities, and make critical decisions during weekend hours
• EMR Proficiency: Hands-on experience using Electronic Medical Record systems (e.g., PointClickCare) for clinical documentation and order entries

Note on Compensation:

The posted range per hour represents base rates for specialized nursing and supervisory positions. Final hourly pay will be determined during the interview process based on clinical background, leadership experience, and selected shift/Baylor structure.
