Zusammenfassung

STGi is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to coordinate nursing care at The William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home in Temple, TX. The role requires supervising direct resident care, ensuring compliance with policies, and coordinating staffing to meet residents’ needs.

Responsibilities include rounds, medication administration, and documentation, with emphasis on safety and quality of care in a veteran home setting. A Texas RN license and BLS/CPR certification are required.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a current and valid RN nursing license in Texas, or a Compact Party State license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Aufgaben

• Follow established standards of nursing practices, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise and evaluate direct resident care and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Provide reports to on-coming shift and document follow-up actions.
• Staffing to meet residents’ needs and conduct daily rounds.
• Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action immediately.
• Provide supervision to Nursing Assistants delivering resident care.
• Attend meetings and participate in interdisciplinary teams and trainings.
• Monitor medication administration and ensure proper documentation.
