Job summary

Norman Regional is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will assess infants, participate in nursing diagnoses, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include implementing evidence-based interventions, evaluating patient progress, and maintaining ACLS certification while promoting safe bedside handoffs during shift changes. This role requires a Oklahoma RN license and pediatric/nursery experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate’s degree in nursing required; BSN/MSN preferred.
• 1 year RN experience preferred.
• Must hold Oklahoma RN license; BLS and ACLS required during orientation and maintained.
• RNs with <1 year may enter Nurse Residency Program.

Responsibilities

• Assess and reassess health care needs across patient populations.
• Develop and evaluate nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
• Coordinate care and implement interventions using evidence-based practice.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Serve in a leadership role alongside/in absence of Nurse Manager.
• Maintain ACLS and promote bedside handoff at shift changes.

Compensation / Benefits

• $31.31-$51.14/hr. based on previous work experience.
• Evening differential $2.50/hr.
• Night differential $3.00/hr.
• Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

HPX NICU is a 25 bedLevel III Unit caring for infants 23-42 weeks gestation. We have a staff of 5 Neonatologistandexperienced NursePractitioner working alongside experienceRN's who specialize in Neonatal Care. In addition, we have a NICU ground transport team whoareable to provide care to critical infants in need.

Job Summary

• Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
• Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy.
• Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions.
• Professional Practice.
• Serves as department leader alongside and in absence of Nurse Manager.
• Maintain ACLS.
• RN will oversee and promote bedside handoff at shift changes.

Qualifications

Education

• Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred

Experience

• 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse preferred

Licensure/Certification

• Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
• RNs with less than one year experience are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program
