Job summary

Bigspringcenterforskilledcare seeks a dedicated Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to lead care teams and ensure high-quality resident well-being. The role emphasizes supervising nurse aides, administering medications, and implementing care plans while maintaining safety and compliance with policies and physician orders.

You will document care, transcribe orders, and participate in shift reports, educating staff and addressing staffing needs as necessary. RN or LVN licensure in good standing is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN or LVN in good standing.
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and workflow organization abilities.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: Provide guidance to Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate care for residents.
• Administer Medications: Properly and safely administer resident medications as prescribed.
• Implement Care Plans: Execute resident care plans in compliance with company policies, federal guidelines, and physician orders.
• Perform Treatments: Deliver treatments as required to ensure resident health and comfort.
• Transcribe Orders: Accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders.
• Document Resident Care: Maintain timely and accurate documentation in resident charts and complete required nursing assessments.
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: Participate in shift reports to ensure seamless communication and care continuity.
• Educate Support Staff: Implement nursing policies and procedures, educating staff on the care needs of residents.
• Maintain Safety Standards: Promote a safe working environment by complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
• Address Staffing Needs: Respond to staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff as necessary.
