Hillsnursing in Texas seeks a Charge Nurse – LVN or RN to lead care teams and ensure resident well-being. You will supervise nurse aides, administer medications, and implement care plans in compliance with policies and physician orders.

You will document care, transcribe orders, participate in shift reports, educate staff, and address staffing needs while maintaining safety and infection control. A strong communicator with solid assessment and documentation skills is essential.

Qualifications

• RN or LVN in good standing
• Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills
• Strong communication and ability to organize workflows

Responsibilities

• Direct Care Teams: guide Nurse Aides to ensure appropriate resident care
• Administer Medications: safely administer prescribed meds
• Implement Care Plans: execute resident care plans per policy and physician orders
• Perform Treatments: deliver treatments to ensure health and comfort
• Transcribe Orders: accurately transcribe physician orders
• Document Resident Care: maintain timely documentation in resident charts and nursing assessments
• Collaborate During Shift Reports: participate in shift handoffs for continuity
• Educate Support Staff: train staff on nursing policies and resident needs
• Maintain Safety Standards: promote infection control and body mechanics
• Address Staffing Needs: arrange replacements during shortages
