Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a Full Time Charge Nurse, RN for Days with ICU/Step-down experience. Supervises care for RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs, while coordinating with physicians and staff on patient condition and diagnostics.

Maintains a positive clinical environment and reports risks to leadership. Role requires nursing degree, NM RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and strong English reading/communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal nursing laws.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Detailed computer knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal and human relation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs.
• Communicate with physicians/CCO/staff about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
• Foster a positive milieu in the hospital and keep CCO/CEO apprised of risks.
• Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.

Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk. Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.

Job Requirements
