Job summary

AMG Specialty Hospital - Albuquerque is seeking a Full-Time Charge Nurse, RN for Day shifts with ICU/Step-down experience. You will supervise the care provided by RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and CNAs and collaborate with physicians to adjust care plans for patients.

The role requires NM RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and acute care experience. The hospital emphasizes ESOP ownership and a team-focused, patient-centered environment in Albuquerque.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in New Mexico.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal nursing laws.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise patient care activities by RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and staff.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Foster a positive clinical milieu and keep leadership apprised of risks.
• Provide direct patient care as required based on staffing and acuity.

Supervisesthe patient care activities performed by other RNs, LPN/LVNs, and CNAs.Communicatewith Physicians/CCO/staff, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Responsible for fostering a positive milieu in the hospital. Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk. Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of anaccredited school of nursing.
• Current RegisteredNurse Licensure for the State of New Mexico.
• Acute careexperience is preferred.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding nursing.

• Able to read and communicate effectively in English. Must be able to articulately communicate, interpret and explain complex information and comprehend written and verbal communication.
