Job summary

Maine Veterans’ Homes in Augusta, ME is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) to oversee daily clinical operations at Eagles Landing LTC Village. Lead nursing staff, coordinate care, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering resident-centered care.

This role requires an active Maine RN license, graduation from an accredited program, strong teamwork, and clear communication. Shift options include 7:00 am–7:00 pm, 36 hours weekly, with every-other weekend.

Qualifications

  • Current, active RN license in the State of Maine.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers, residents, families, and supervisors.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans, policies, and best practices.
  • Supervise and support CNAs and other nursing staff on assigned shift.
  • Coordinate and delegate assignments to ensure appropriate staffing and workload distribution.
  • Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
  • Communicate effectively with providers, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of care and services provided.
  • Promote a safe environment by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and care transitions.
  • Address concerns, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support compliance with state and federal regulations and organizational policies.
  • Serve as a role model and resource to staff, fostering a positive team environment.

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position's home base will be Eagles Landing, our Long-term Care Village.

Position Summary

The Charge Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical operations of the assigned care area and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care.
