Job summary

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) for the NICU to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit operations during the assigned shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NRP must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• STABLE must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
• Support efforts to improve engagement by operationalizing nursing strategies (e.g., staff rounding, hourly rounds).
• Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff; advise on actions to ensure a competitive organization.
• Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
