Position Summary

The Charge Nurse manages the daily operations of a department(s), providing services for patients while meeting quality, legal, organizational, and medical staff goals. Responsible for promoting efficient operations and effective nursing care within a designated department, independently managing the department under the guidance of a Nurse Manager/Director. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, JCAHO, and the Nurse Practice Act. Promotes healthcare delivery within budgetary guidelines and is responsible for the department on a 24-hour basis.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 1 year RN experience.
• Certifications: Current license or registration to practice nursing as required by law, plus CPR certification.
