Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven seeks a Charge Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical Cardiac team at Winter Haven Hospital. The RN will care for a group of patients using established nursing processes and clinical standards, delegating appropriately to the health care team and maintaining professional accountability and development.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license.
• BLS certification.
• 6 months RN acute care experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a medical/surgical unit
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.
