Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven is seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) to join the Medical/Surgical Cardiac team at Winter Haven Hospital. The role involves independent patient care using the nursing process, while coordinating with the care team and updating the plan of care with patients and families.

You will ensure patient safety, manage assignments, and contribute to professional accountability and development.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• 6 months RN acute care experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required.

Responsibilities

• The RN works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary care providers to develop and assist in plan of care; updates plan of care with patient, family, and care team.

Position Description: RN

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development.

• The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care
• Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in a medical/surgical unit
• Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

Weekend Work: Every Other
