Job summary

HMG Healthcare is seeking a Charge Nurse (LVN/RN) for a PRN pool at Gulf Pointe Plaza Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Rockport, TX. You will provide direct nursing care under supervision, monitor patient health, administer medications, and support treatment plans within a compassionate, multidisciplinary team.

Minimum qualifications include an active TX LVN/RN license, completion of a vocational nursing program, and BLS. Prior nursing experience and familiarity with EHRs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid and current LVN/RN license in TX.
• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience working as an LVN/RN or in a similar nursing role.
• Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, and assisting with daily living activities.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and post-treatment care instructions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

About the Role:

The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the Health Care Services industry. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patients' comfort, safety, and well-being. The LVN/RN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures, contributing to effective treatment plans.
