Gulf Pointe Plaza Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Rockport, TX is seeking a Charge Nurse (LVN/RN) to provide direct patient care under supervision. The role focuses on monitoring patients, administering medications, and supporting daily living activities while collaborating with physicians and RNs to ensure quality outcomes.

This PRN/Full-Time hourly position requires a TX LVN or RN license, BLS, and proven clinical experience.

Qualifications

• TX LVN or RN license is required.
• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience as LVN/RN or in a similar nursing role is preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations, treatments, and procedures.

About the Role:

The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care within the Health Care Services industry. This position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring patients' comfort, safety, and well-being. The LVN/RN will be responsible for monitoring patient health, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures, contributing to effective treatment plans. This role requires compassionate communication with patients and their families, fostering a supportive and informative environment. Ultimately, the LVN/RN helps maintain the smooth operation of healthcare services by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid and current LVN/RN license in TX.
• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proven experience working as an LVN/RN or in a similar nursing role.
• Strong understanding of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a healthcare facility similar to the job location, such as hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities.
• Additional certifications such as IV therapy or wound care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills tailored to diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
