Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LPN) to provide frontline clinical leadership within our skilled nursing community. You will oversee nursing services during shifts, supervise caregiving teams, and ensure residents receive compassionate, compliant care.

You’ll administer medications, maintain accurate documentation, and act as a liaison between residents, families, providers, and leadership to uphold Americare's high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is preferred.
• Strong leadership and clinical judgment required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services and clinical supervision during assigned shifts.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and CMAs on the floor.
• Complete and update resident assessments, care plans, and documentation.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to families, physicians, and leadership.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure residents' needs are met.
• Document incidents and report concerns per policy.
• Ensure supplies and medications are available and communicated to leadership.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care.
