Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Janesville in Wisconsin is seeking an experienced nurse leader to provide leadership and coordination of unit staffing while ensuring delivery of high‑quality patient care.

You will direct, educate and monitor staff on each shift, collaborate with advanced practice providers and evaluate care outcomes to improve patient safety and patient satisfaction.

Required: RN license, minimum 1 year RN experience, and BLS HCP certification (per state requirements).

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse experience.
• BLS HCP certification per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments, ensuring population appropriate patient care is given.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
• May provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing and evaluating staff.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
