Job summary

SSM Health in Saint Louis University Hospital seeks a nursing leader to coordinate unit staffing and drive clinical objectives and high-quality patient care. The role requires guiding registered nurses and support staff across shifts, collaborating with advanced practice providers to ensure optimal outcomes.

Candidates should have RN licensure with a nursing degree and at least one year of RN experience, along with BLS HCP certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• One year of registered nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies issues affecting outcomes.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
• May provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing and evaluating staff.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
