Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - St. Louis is seeking a nurse leader to coordinate unit staffing and ensure clinical objectives are met with high-quality patient care. You will lead bedside and support staff during night shifts, assign care tasks, and monitor performance to optimize outcomes.

The role requires an RN license and at least 1 year of RN experience, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and effective communication within a Med Surg environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• One year of RN experience required.
• BLS HCP certification preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing staff during shift.
• Develops and distributes patient care assignments to ensure appropriate care.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
• Evaluates patient care effectiveness and addresses issues affecting outcomes.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and follows established channels.
• May provide input for hiring, training and staff evaluation.
