Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Madison in Madison, WI is seeking a Regular, full-time registered nurse supervisor to lead unit staffing and coordinate clinical objectives.

This role ensures quality patient care by directing nursing and support staff during shifts and distributing patient assignments. The position requires at least one year of RN experience and a graduate of an accredited nursing program, with BLS HCP and RN licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• One year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift.
• Develops and distributes patient care assignments to ensure appropriate care.
• Collaborates with advanced practice providers to achieve quality outcomes.
• Evaluates effectiveness of patient care and identifies issues affecting outcomes.
• Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels.
• May participate in hiring, training and evaluating staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
