Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is seeking an experienced RN Charge Nurse to provide leadership and clinical expertise on their shift and department. You will coordinate unit resources to ensure appropriate staffing levels and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role requires assessment, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and active involvement in quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the practice state; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit-specific certification (ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• BSN from an accredited institution; must obtain BSN within 4 years of hire/promotion.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, social, and psychological status of patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop care plans.
• Direct and coordinate care, delegate tasks, and manage resources.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
• Mentor staff and uphold professional standards.
• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical and regulatory requirements.
