Job summary

Intermountain Health Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to provide leadership and clinical expertise on their shift and department, coordinating staffing and resources to meet patient needs.

You will supervise an interdisciplinary team, mentor staff, ensure compliance with policies, and participate in quality improvement while maintaining professional standards and effective communication with patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit-specific certification (ACLS, PALS).
• Experience in assigned clinical area.
• Mentoring experience.
• BSN within four years of hire/promotion.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clinical expertise on shift and department.
• Coordinate staffing and resources to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop plan of care.
• Mentor staff and promote nursing professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with policies, documentation and regulatory standards.
• Activate chain of command and rapid response when needed.
