Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state of practice.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Unit Specific Certification (ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Experience in assigned clinical area.
• Mentoring experience.
• BSN required within four years of hire/promotion.

Responsibilities

• Performs appropriate assessment of physical, social, and psychological status.
• Collaboratively plans and prepares patients for support needs after current care episode.
• Directs the interdisciplinary care team via delegation and collaboration.
• Manages staffing needs and resources to optimize patient care.
• Evaluates patient response to interventions and revises the plan as needed.
• Supports and enforces policies to ensure safety and quality care.
• Activates chain of command and participates in quality improvement.
