The Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit Charge Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care for patients with acute and intermediate cardiac conditions, including heart failure management, post‑transplant care, and telemetry monitoring.
Lead and coordinate patient care activities, develop and implement complex individualized care plans, and utilize evidence‑based practices. Assess patient data to mitigate changes in condition, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and promote patient satisfaction and safety. Support clinical education, participate in practice improvement initiatives, and serve as a resource to staff.
Requires an RN license, with 2‑5 years of nursing experience; a Bachelor’s degree and 5‑10 years of experience preferred. Additional certifications such as ACLS and BLS are necessary. Strong critical thinking, clinical expertise, and leadership abilities are essential.
Facilitate safe patient care, lead care planning, promote evidence‑based practices, evaluate patient and family experiences, and support professional development.
