Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and to coordinate unit activities during shifts. The CNC will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care, serving as a resource for staff and aligning with the hospital's mission and values to enhance patient outcomes across the department.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state(s) of practice and/or active compact license
• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, in collaboration with the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operates nursing strategies including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives to improve engagement.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training staff, and may include actions to ensure a competitive organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in line with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
