The CNC directs nursing care, serves as a resource to staff, and aligns with policy and organizational values to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• Current RN license in state of practice and/or compact license.
• BCLS within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes for efficient throughput and high-quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of care quality in the unit in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with experts and managers to foster teamwork and improve outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Implements nursing strategies like hourly rounds to improve engagement.
• Recommends and implements staff training, performance reviews, and policy compliance actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management per patient needs and productivity guidelines.
• Helps with inventory control and equipment management.

Education
