Job summary

Hive + Co. is seeking a Specialist, Channel Operations to drive operational functions for distribution channel processes and data validation across external platforms.

The role partners with VP, Analytics and Strategic Initiatives and Sales leadership to enable core processes and ensure data integrity across third-party systems. EST / CST hours are preferred; the position requires 5+ years of experience in operations, accounting/billing exposure, and strong Excel, SQL, and data management

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field (arts preferred).
• Strong Excel, Pivot tables, SQL queries, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Review data, reports, and dashboards and support data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with the project team, sales team, and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and validate data across third-party platforms to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies.
• Work with large databases and manipulate big data.
• Provide day-to-day support for channel partnership functions, driving data alignment with partners and internal stakeholders.
• Drive process improvement, including metadata and information-sharing transformations with distributors.
• Support multiple operational initiatives as an external client-operations representative and SME for distribution processes.
• Partner with Sales and GTM teams on channel operation processes and assist with dispute escalation as directed by leadership.

Job description

The Specialist, Channel Operations is responsible for driving operational functions critical to the ongoing management of distribution channel processes in conjunction with Manager, Channel Operations. It would be expected that this role would serve to enable core business processes related to 3rd party distribution systems as well as support ongoing data transmission and validation of information included on those external platforms. This role will work in partnership across all areas under the remit of the VP, Analytics and Strategic Initiatives and our Sales leadership teams as needed.

EST / CST hours are preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• We are looking for a strong operations specialist who has hands on experience in reviewing the data, reports, and dashboards.
• This person will be working with the new project team; sales team and with the external stakeholders.
• We are looking for someone who has hands on experience in monitoring and validating data across third-party platforms to ensure accuracy and elevate discrepancies.
• This person will be working on large database and manipulating the big data.
• Serve as day-to-day support for the channel partnership function, including driving data alignment / reconciliations with external distribution partners and internal stakeholders
• Drive process improvement efforts, including on-going transformation in metadata and information sharing processes with distributors.
• Support multiple operational initiatives, including both as a external representative of client operations as well as partner with stakeholders internally as a SME for distribution processes
• Partners with Sales and GTM teams on channel operation processes and support dispute escalation as directed by the Sr Director

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.Bachelor’s degree in arts would be preferred.
• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Candidate should have experience in Accounting & Billing.
• Strong operational process and data management execution capabilities, including experience working with cross-functional and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated problem structuring and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail, embodying the work ethic that thrives in a fast-paced culture with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with working in roles serving as a primary liaison between various stakeholders
• Displays and acts with curiosity, initiative and integrity
• Strong Excel, Pivot tables, and SQL Queries. PowerPoint skills
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities successfully
• Publisher backgrounds is a great fit.

Preferred

• Detailed working knowledge of course material distribution landscape in the Higher Education market.
• Exposure to data analysis tools (such as Power BI or Tableau)
• Salesforce is nice to have.
