Jobtailor seeks an Engineering Documentation Specialist in Puerto Rico to manage engineering data and product configurations. You will prepare, format, and control documents, evaluate design changes for QMS and customer requirements, and support audits and corrective actions.
You will collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electrical, and Manufacturing teams, maintain documentation logs, and process change requests in the PLM system while ensuring timely, compliant delivery.
• Work with multiple types of documents, including New Release, Drawing Updates, Deviations, and Waivers
• Plan, gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate product configuration data, including engineering design changes
• Review proposed design changes for compliance with QMS requirements, industry standards, and customer requirements
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering, Programs, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain
• Evaluate engineering inputs for classification, drafting and engineering standards, product structure impact, and change interrelationships
• Evaluate daily inputs for compliance with procedures, regulatory and customer requirements
• Sequence engineering changes into iterative product structures to support production incorporation
• Complete workflows to control and store formal engineering data
• Process change requests in the PLM system, including documentation analysis, interchangeability assessment, approval routing, and auditing
• Support internal and external meetings, status sharing, metrics, technical information, and change concurrence
• Maintain logs to ensure timely, priority-based work
• Support audits and corrective actions
Demonstrates expertise in managing engineering documentation and product configuration data while ensuring compliance with QMS requirements and industry standards. Proficient in technical writing and effective communication to support collaboration across engineering and production teams.
