Job summary

CareGivers America in Dauphin County is seeking compassionate pediatric caregivers to provide 1:1 in-home support for children. No experience is required; training will be provided and opportunities to become a certified Home Health Aide (HHA) are available.

The role includes helping with daily living activities, supporting IEPs/BIPs, and promoting safe, structured routines. Flexible schedules are offered, including full-time, part-time, and weekend shifts, with benefits such as paid training

Qualifications

• HHA or CNA certificate preferred.
• Willingness to work in Dauphin County.
• Reliable transportation to travel to clients' location.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 supervision and in-home support to children.
• Assist with daily living activities (hygiene, meals, routine care).
• Support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans (BIPs).
• Facilitate age-appropriate activities to promote skill development.
• Maintain a safe, structured environment with consistent routines.
• Occasionally assist with standing, walking, bending, and lifting as needed.

No experience needed — we’ll train you and help you become a certified Home Health Aide (HHA).

What You’ll Do:

• Provide 1:1 supervision and support to children in a safe, in-home setting
• Assist with daily living skills, including hygiene, meals, and routine care as needed
• Implement and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BIPs)
• Facilitate structured, age-appropriate activities that promote skill development
• Support positive behavior strategies and maintain a consistent, safe environment
• Frequent standing and walking, assisting members with daily activities, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and occasional lifting or supporting individuals
