Job summary

Valor Front is exclusively retained to identify a Chief Financial Officer for a U.S. colocation and AI inference platform.

The CFO will build the finance function from the ground up, establishing accounting, FP&A, treasury, systems, controls, and reporting. The leader will partner with the CEO, founding team, and sponsor, transitioning from hands-on build to strategic capital deployment and potential exits.

Qualifications

• Proven operational finance leadership in CFO/VP Finance roles.
• Experience with carve-out/transformation projects and TSA transitions.
• Experience in data center, colocation, or digital infrastructure preferred.
• Growth-oriented, strategic leadership with strong controls and close processes.
• Hands-on leader who builds finance function from scratch.
• Experience supporting value-creation planning through to exit (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Stand up standalone finance and accounting function with team, ERP, coA, close, and internal controls.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management with site-level P&L visibility across portfolio.
• Build investor-grade financial reporting and serve as primary finance interface with sponsor.
• Establish pricing, deal economics, and capex analysis to support expansion decisions.
• Support M&A diligence, integration, and financial evaluation of acquisitions.
• Lead treasury, banking, insurance, tax, and audit relationships, including first standalone audit.
