Job summary

Produce Careers Inc. is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy and operations for a large food manufacturing enterprise based in New York.

The role requires extensive oversight of multi-entity finance functions, strong collaboration with the CEO, board and senior executives, and a background in agriculture or food manufacturing. Due to the hands-on nature of the business, this position is not available for home-based or hybrid work.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting and at least 15 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Minimum ten years in a management role.
• ERP transition experience—preferably with SAP.
• Agriculture or food manufacturing industry experience.
• Advanced credentials such as MBA, CPA, CGMA or CMA preferred. Knowledge of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial planning, record-keeping, reporting and financial risk.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting for the fiscal year.
• Oversee regulatory compliance with financial regulations.
• Manage capital and ensure cash flow for operations and strategy.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Oversee monthly financial statements and reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with investors and stakeholders on performance updates.
• Contribute to corporate strategic planning and financial outcomes.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance.
• Manage debt and interest rate risk.
• Implement risk management to protect assets.
• Coordinate funding to merchants and oversee fund recovery processes.
• Drive process improvements and mentor staff.
