The Client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to partner with the CEO and executive team, taking full responsibility for financial health, integrity, and growth. This role drives financial strategy, controls, and reporting across the organization from The Client's Pompano Beach, Florida offices.

The client is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, with full responsibility for the organization’s financial health, integrity, and long-term growth. This role supports the development of financial and operational strategy, relevant metrics, and control systems designed to protect company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting. The CFO will provide leadership and coordination across administrative functions, business planning, information technology, human resources, accounting, and budgeting.

Key responsibilities include participating in executive management decisions and helping shape future direction and tactical initiatives; developing financial and tax strategies; and working with owners to report financial results and risk considerations. The CFO will monitor and guide strategic business plans, define performance measures aligned to company goals, and manage capital requests, budgeting, and financing processes. The role also involves streamlining reporting and forecasting through technology, overseeing insurance and liability matters, and monitoring and forecasting cash flow and working capital on a monthly basis.

The client expects a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior-level financial role within distribution, ideally food-related, along with experience working effectively with fast-paced, growth-focused entrepreneurial leadership. Candidates should have proven experience developing and leading high-performing teams responsible for strategic finance and accounting, with mergers and acquisitions experience a plus. Additional expectations include strong strategic acumen and data orientation, demonstrated ability to use AI and other technology for financial impact, strong communication skills, advanced analytical capability, high collaboration and influence, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities with a bias for action; a college degree is required, with an MBA or CPA preferred. The role is expected to be based in The client’s Pompano Beach, Florida offices.
