Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a new evergreen private markets platform within the External Investing Group. The role involves high-level interaction with senior professionals and strategic contributions across finance, operations, and risk.

The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of financial leadership, a background in alternative investments, and a hands-on, proactive approach to governance, reporting, and capital management in New York.

Qualifications

• The candidate will be hands-on, deadline-focused, process-oriented, and possess strong written and oral communication skills, contributing strategically, financially, and operationally.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Prior experience in evergreen private markets offerings is essential, with CFO/CAO background being highly accretive.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary signer for SEC filings and oversee SOX certifications.
• Oversee valuation and NAV processes for evergreen funds with Controllers and Lead PMs.
• Ensure compliance with 40 Act and RIC requirements related to diversification, income, and distributions.
• Coordinate capital planning, tender offers, and credit oversight with senior team.
• Prepare board materials and present to the board on governance and oversight matters.
