AAR is seeking an Instructor Pilot (CFII) to provide flight and ground instruction at Fort Rucker, Alabama. The role requires maintaining training records and end-to-end instructional standards in accordance with FAA and US Army guidelines.

Qualifications include CFII, 2,000 hours rotorcraft, 1,000 hours as instructor, and US citizenship for site access. The position emphasizes safety, professionalism, and leadership within a government-aviation context.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • CFII rating required; Robinson R-66 experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2,000 hours rotorcraft time and 1,000 hours as an instructor.
  • 150 hours of instrument time.
  • 10+ years of helicopter aviation experience; Army/government training preferred.
  • Current FAA medical certificate (First or Second Class).
  • US citizenship required to access Fort Rucker site.
  • Ability to maintain training records and follow ACS.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor students through flight and ground training.
  • Maintain flight training standards per FAA regulations and FSN TCOs.
  • Ensure students meet training milestones.
  • Schedule and coordinate training sessions.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and effective communication; prioritize student development.
  • Maintain contact with the Chief Flight Instructor and Director of Flight Training.
  • Uphold FSN TCOs knowledge and FAA Part 141/61 requirements.
  • Maintain safety program adherence and documentation.
