Job summary

Whaley Foodservice is seeking a Service Technician III to provide service and repair of commercial cooking equipment. The candidate will operate with a Safety First mindset, troubleshoot complex systems, and document tasks via tablet while on customer sites.

The role requires CFESA certifications across at least two areas and a commitment to on-site work with extensive travel. Strong communication, reliability, and a clean driving record are essential to meet on-call and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• 5 years of applicable experience.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting safety standards.
• Possess CFESA certifications: electrical, gas, refrigeration, steam.

Responsibilities

• Operate with a Safety First mindset.
• Troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration and steam powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment.
• Document tasks on a tablet (parts order, work order, timesheet) promptly.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and status.
• Use proper tools for repair, including hand and power tools.
• Monitor truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked on vehicle.
• Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms to Heritage standards and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation including weekends/holidays.
• Obtain correct part numbers via branch parts personnel.
• Collect payment on COD jobs.
• Contribute to branch targets for response time and first-time fix rates.
• Participate in available training to increase skills and knowledge.
• Perform other duties as required.
